Shiitake extract

Pure medicinal mushroom extract, standardised for polysaccharides. Polysaccharides are extracted from the chitin cover in the mushrooms using hot water. Compared with the powder, the extract has around 10 times the concentration of polysaccharides.

For processing as dried mushrooms, seasonings or dietary supplements, Shiitake is grown on farms.<br><br>Its use is documented in traditional dietetics. The Shiitake mushroom contains all essential amino acids and minerals, such as iron, potassium, calcium and zinc, and vitamins.

The beta-D-glucan lentinan is particularly important. It is known as a biological response modifier. Another interesting vital substance in Shiitake is eritadenine. It is frequently the subject of scientific studies.
